PART I
I'm not a marriage expert or counselor. Crafting out time to write  about the pleasant and sometimes horrible stories that I have heard of has lingered on my mind. I know that some unmarried individuals have had a negative opinion about marriage because of the stories they heard or read of.

From my perspective as a woman and a wife, I can confidently say that there are still good men and husbands. My respect for my husband grew more especially with his strong capacity to cope with my too many lofty dreams. I'm a writer, public speaker, blogger, medical research scientist, doctorate student, musical writer, singer and composer. The list still grows.

I've always known that women with great potentials like Joyce Meyer, late Dora Akunyili and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala were married to strong men who could not only cope with their dreams but gave all their support to see those dreams come to fruition. Women with large capacity should not settle for marriage with men who cannot contain their dreams.

When I read about the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31: 10-31, it becomes obvious that I still have a long way to go. The verse that gets me excited states, "her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land". These kind of men still exist despite the numerous horror-filled stories we have heard of.

Every home has their peculiar challenge but this becomes easy to surmount when the couple are committed to see their marriage work. To the unmarried folk who spared their time to scan through the words that I have scribbled down, please let go of that fear. Trust God to direct you to your own spouse, who would be a blessing to your life.

Lovely and godly marriages still exist. Your own will not be an exception.
